In all the drama that is unfolding around Kapil Sharma, seems like the actor-producer has some respite. The Bombay High Court has put a stay on the FIR filed against him over alleged illegal construction in his flat in suburban Goregaon. Further, the HC has asked the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to have a personal hearing on his demolition notice.
Earlier in October 2016, the HC has granted interim stay on BMC’s notice, which directed demolition of an illegal structure constructed by the ace comedian in his apartment in a high-rise in Goregaon. This notice was issued by the BMC saying Kapil ‘went beyond the approved plan of his flat and made unauthorised alterations and deserves no relief.’
Kapil had earlier started a controversy where he tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a tweet alleging that he had been asked to pay a bribe of INR 5 lakh by an official of BMC. BMC in turn claimed that the comedian had defied norms not only in his office building at Versova but also at his apartment in ‘DLH Enclave’, Goregaon.
Kapil Sharma is not only hosting a show called, The Kapil Sharma Show, on SONY channel but also producing it. These days, Kapil is news every day – first introducing his childhood sweetheart to the world on social media, then the physical brawl with co-star Sunil Grover in a flight and now this.
