A lot of things seems to be in Kapil Sharma’s ‘Firangi’ favour, let’s wait to know how the film turns up at the Box Office.
Comedy king and Bollywood actor Kapil Sharma is returning to the silver screen after two years with his film, ‘Firangi’. The film is a buzz for quite a few reasons and one among many is the man himself, Kapil Sharma.
Well, Kapil has a huge fan following across the country. Despite falling into controversy after his much-publicized fallout with Sunil Grover, Kapil has managed to generate curiosity for his upcoming film. Also, Kapil himself is a brand, which is the biggest selling point of the film.
The film was releasing on November 24 but has been postponed to December 1. As Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ has been postponed, Firangi got its release date. This has only left fans more curious for Firangi. The trailer of the film looks interesting, unique and sees Kapil in never seen avatar. The Pre-Independence backdrop looks exceptional for a comedy film.
However, the music of the film has not managed to create the much-needed hype. Also, there is no bankable lead actress in the film, which means the film will be riding on Kapil’s shoulder. This can be one of the disadvantages.
The film is releasing to approx. 2000 screens and is expected to witness a fair opening in the range of Rs 5-6 crore. If the word-of-mouth is positive, this will give a good push in the collection for a good lifetime run.
Kapil Sharma’s debut feature, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, was a runaway hit at the box-office. Despite that, the ace comedian is sure to rule the Box office this year with his simple character. He is already winning hearts with his unique role that we have seen in the trailer.
The film, directed by Rajiv Dhingra, stars Kapil, Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill in the lead roles, is releasing on December 1.
