Box Office: Rock On 2 VS Chaar Sahibzaade First Day Occupancy!

Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Rock On 2 has finally hit the screens in a clash with Chaar Sahibzaade – Rise Of Banda Bahadur, which is a tale of heroism of one of history’s greatest unsung heroes. The musical drama film Rock On 2 opened to a poor start while surprisingly, Chaar Sahibzaade witnessed good first-day occupancy in the morning shows. Rock On 2 opened to around 5-10% on the morning show while Chaar Sahibzaade saw an occupancy of 35-40%.

Rock On 2, which stars Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Farhan Akhtar, Shashank Arora and Prachi Desai in the lead roles, failed to create the much-needed hype before the release of the film. Now it remains to see what magic the film creates to survive at the Box Office in the coming days. The collections of the film can only rely on word of mouth, which can be a game changer. The target audience of the film is mostly youth and so, the film should show substantial growth in multiplexes and cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore

On the other hand, Chaar Sahibzaade – Rise Of Banda Bahadur has opened well in East Punjab. Considering the much hype given to the prequel of the film, the opening of the film was expected to be good. Surprisingly, it is the first animation film that has received highest opening ever in India.

The other films like Dongri Ka Raja, Ishq Junoon, and Yeh Hai Lollipop, which have released today made no difference with no occupancy.
