‘Rustom’ has earned less than ‘Rowdy Rathore’ in India but it has beaten all the collections in the worldwide market. The Akshay—Ileana starrer has done better than ‘Rowdy Rathore’ in the overseas. The worldwide collection of the film based on the Nanavati case is 220.75 crore net approx. in 24 days. The film has still not ended its run at the box office.
The movie has not only created laurels in other areas, but it has now also been labeled as the highest Akshay Kumar earner of all times. ‘Rustom’ is the first film to earn the mark of 220 crores at the worldwide market.
The second slot is held by the film ‘Airlift’ which released at the start of this year. ‘Airlift’ was also a hit at the box office and the film also did well in the worldwide market with 209.97 crore.
‘Rustom’ released with ‘Mohenjo Daro’ and in spite of the equal competition, it managed to beat the historic flick!
