Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania finally released on March 10 and the film is receiving mixed response from all over. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has taken a good start at the Box Office. The promotions and the much-needed hype among the audience have surely benefited the film. Moreover, audiences were quite excited to witness Varun and Alia’s chemistry on the silver screen again after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
BKD earned Rs 12.25 crore (122.5 million) nett approx on its first day and showed a good growth of around 20% on its second day. As per early estimates, the film has collected Rs 14.25 crore (142.5 million) nett approx on its second day, taking the total two days day collection to Rs 26.50 crore (265 million) nett approx. The desi love story has performed well in the East Punjab and Mumbai.
The weekend for BKD is going to be huge. However, only Monday will see a dip because of Holi as most of the theatres would start shows in the latter half. Also, if the Monday turns out to be in the film’s favour, Badrinath Ki Dulhania will have chances to become the biggest hit of 2017. Now that the movie is backed by positive responses and reviews it will surely make a mark at the box office.
