MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan fans and movie buffs, who are eager to get on to the ‘Chennai Express’ train will have to wait a day longer as the train, even before leaving the station is late by a good 24 hours.
The film’s release has been shifted by a day and ‘Chennai Express’ will now release on 9 August instead of 8 August.
Initially Eid was supposed to fall on 8 August, but now falls on 9 August and a bank holiday has been declared on the 9 August.
Disney UTV, Director of India Theatrical Distribution, Gaurav Verma said the film’s release was planned keeping the holiday in mind and hence it was being postponed by a day.
Looks like in spite of the 24 hour delay, the reservations for the ‘Chennai Express’ will be full.
‘Chennai Express’ produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and distributed by UTV Motion Pictures stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film will now officially hit theatres on 9 August.
