MUMBAI: After wrapping up the schedule in Vasco, Goa, for their upcoming ‘Chennai Express’, Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika have headed to the iconic Dudhsagar waterfalls.
The duo will wrap up their shoot at these beautiful falls located on the Mandovi River in the state of Goa by the evening of 30 November.
‘Chennai Express’, an out and out commercial film with a romantic angle, is going to be released close to Eid 2013. Director Rohit Shetty has promised that viewers will find a blend of SRK’s romance and his own action drama.
“There is a lot of romance keeping Shah Rukh in mind but it will also be a typical Rohit Shetty film with cars blowing and lots of action,” confirms Shetty.
In Vasco, the makers of the film cordoned off Platform 2 of Vasco Railway Station. A train was hired and the platform was made to look like Mumbai’s Kalyan station.
It is here that Shah Rukh Khan, standing at the train’s doorway outstretched his hand so that Deepika Padukone could climb onto the train – very similar to the scene with Kajol in DDLJ.
As for the Dudhsagar Falls: if we were to believe in legends, then according to myth, there was a princess who lived in a palace in a forest close to the falls, otherwise called ‘Sea of Milk’. Apparently, she enjoyed bathing in the lake nearby and drinking the ‘sweetened milk’ after her bath.
We hope that a sizzling romantic scene is being shot to capture the beauty of the waterfall, and we wonder: will Shah Rukh Khan, who has already broken his policy of not kissing on screen, for late Yash Chopra in ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, lock-lips once again with Deepika Padukone under the magical falls?
