Deepika, Katrina, Priyanka, Anushka And Their 2014 Upcomings

With 2014 looking as promising as it does, it is understood there is much excitement over this year’s big releases. While Bollywood’s heroes have a slew of fabulous films lined up, the heroines too are not left far behind…

The most eagerly anticipated heroines this year, are:

Deepika Padukone: Now, Deepika Padukone has had a fabulous 2013. She began the year on a high note with Race 2, followed it up with the blockbusters Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani and Chennai Express, and rounded it up with the smashing success of Ram Leela. Deepika is clearly numero uno right now, so it is but natural that we have come to expect great things from this leggy lass. Deepika has three diverse films lined up in 2014- Farah Khan’s Happy New Year opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Kochadaiyaan with legendary superstar Rajinikanth, and Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny Fernandes, with Saif Ali Khan.

Katrina Kaif: Katrina is another top heroine, who has an impressive lineup of films in 2014. After the stupendous success of Dhoom 3, in the last week of 2013, Katrina will emerge like a phoenix and deliver sureshot winners this year. Katrina has Siddharth Anand’s Bang Bang, opposite her Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara co-star, and Bollywood’s resident Greek God Hrithik Roshan. Post that she will be seen in Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos, where she will be paired with her real life beau Ranbir Kapoor. Interestingly, Jagga Jasoos is the first production of Ranbir and Anurag’s Picture Shuru Productions.

Priyanka Chopra: Piggy Chops, or PC has an enviable lineup for 2014 as well. The hard working, tough-as-nails lady will be seen in two completely distinct films. The first of which is Ali Abbas Zafar’s Gunday, in which she is paired opposite Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor. A complete departure from anything we’ve seen of her so far, Priyanka will then undertake to portray the life and times of Olympic medallist, boxer Mary Kom on celluloid. Great things are expected from Omung Kumar’s Mary Kom biopic, and it might just become a cult classic, like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag did. Here’s hoping.

Anushka Sharma: An actress who has so far not received her due, in our opinion. Anushka Sharma has displayed time and again that she is an actress, and a performer to reckon with. She stole the show from under Katrina’s nose, in Yash Chopra’s swan song Jab Tak Hai Jaan. No wonder that she bagged prestigious projects like Rajkumar Hirani’s P.K. and Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet. Both films are massive ventures, starring no less than Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor respectively, so naturally Anushka will be more than noticed.

Here’s wishing Deepika, Katrina, Priyanka, Anushka all the best for their new
