The newlywed couple, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, has received a special gift from Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh!
Anushka Sharma is now married to the Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli. The adorable couple tied the knot on December 11, this year in a private ceremony in Italy. Both of them looked stunning in their Sabyasachi outfits and it looked like a dream wedding. They were wished by almost everyone from the film fraternity. But it surprised us when the celebs Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh did not wish the couple on their special day.
The two actresses used to not share a very cordial relationship with each other, and it was understandable. While Anushka had dated Ranveer Singh, Deepika is his current girlfriend now. But the two of them had apparently sorted out their issues. While DP had appreciated the actress’ film NH10, it was Anushka who was amongst the first to sign the petition on DP’s safety regarding the Padmavati issue. Talking about Anushka – Ranveer’s relationship, they even did the film Dil Dhadakne Do after their break-up.
So what wrong happened now? Why did they not wish Anushka on her marriage?
According to a report in India.com, Ranveer and Deepika did wish the couple, but personally. They even sent a beautiful bouquet of roses for them.
A source tells Pinkvilla, ”Maybe not on social media, but Deepika has wished the happy couple personally and it was a warm message. She texted them both her best wishes individually post the wedding. Deepika likes to add her own personal touch to whatever she does – be it her own team or friends and social media can be a cold and impersonal way of conveying one’s feelings.
The source also adds on saying, ”She has always been very supportive of Anushka in everything she has done as Anushka has been of her. They may have had issues in the past but now both have found admiration and respect for each other.”
Well, we think that the doubt will be cleared on December 26, when Virushka will be throwing a reception party for the industry people. We hope to see Ranveer and Deepika there!
