Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh’s Padmavati in trouble again.
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s historical upcoming film Padmavati has found itself in the midst of a fresh controversy. The troubles for Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh starrer are increasing with each passing day.
It all started after the members of a Rajput group, Karni Sena, protested against Padmavati. This was for distorting historical facts by the filmmaker. The shooting of the film was stopped in Jaigarh fort, which had triggered outrage in the film industry.
After the physical attack on filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his crew, reportedly, the film will not release in Rajasthan. The state minister has made it clear that the film will not be released in Rajasthan. It has to be shown to the Rajput community leaders first.
Energy Minister Pushpendra addressed a protest organized by Savarna Adhikar Aarakshan Manch near the assembly building on Friday. He assured, “We will not allow the release of the film in Rajasthan, till it is screened to our community members.”
Well, the Padmavati row continues to be in the limelight with various supports coming from different people in the industry. A couple of days after the attack, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s team had assured them. They said that “there is no romantic dream sequence or any romantic scene between Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji.”
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historic film Padmavati features Deepika Padukone as queen Padmavati. Shahid Kapoor will be seen as her husband, Ratan Singh. Ranveer Singh portrays the character of Alauddin Khilji in the movie.
