Director Shoojit Sircar has showed the wonderful father daughter relationship shared by Deepika and Amitabh Bachchan in his upcoming film ‘Piku’. Recently during the press meet for the upcoming film ‘Piku’, Deepika Padukone shared her cutest and fondest memories of her dad.
Deepika Padukone remembered the cutest memories she had shared with her real life father Prakash Padukone while she was talking about onscreen father Amitabh Bachchan.
Ram-Leela actress said that her fondest moment with her dad is when ever she thinks of him in ‘lungi’. He even took her side when her mother shouted at her. But later he was forced to punish her daughter.
Remembering the whole incident when he use to punish her, Deepika Padukone said that “We had a store room in our home where he used to lock me for two-three minutes, and then he used to feel bad and take me out.”
Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone’s upcoming movie Piku has a special touch in the movie as they share a special bond of father-daughter. Talking about her experience working with Amitabh Bachchan as daughter in ‘Piku’, Deepika Padukone said that her role in the film was very challenging but she had memorable moments with Big B. While working with him, it didn’t feel like she is working with Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan.
Piku is directed by Shoojit Sarcar starring Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. Piku is scheduled for release on May 8, 2015. The film has been shot in Kolkata and Deepika and Big B will be seen playing Bengali characters.
