MUMBAI: Dengue fever is the ‘in’ word in Bollywood. The latest to be hit by it is actor Imran Khan’s wife Avantika Malik, who was struck by dengue recently and is on the path of recovery.
“Avantika is a bit fine now. Her platelet count is up now. She has to take bed rest for eight to ten days. Her blood tests are happening regularly. Don’t know how everyone is getting dengue,” Imran said while promoting his film ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ with Kareena Kapoor.
Avantika, who had been running high fever for quite some time, was recently diagnosed with dengue.
Recently, this vector borne infection also struck Ranveer Singh and so the music launch of his film ‘Ram Leela’ had to take a back seat. We have head that he is also on the road to recovery.
Also not to forget this dreaded disease took away Yash Chopra, a void that can never be filled.
All we have to say is that we wish both Avantika and Ranveer a speedy recovery.
