Few days ago, Dia Mirza got trolled for her opinion on ‘stop water wastage’ tweet. She had tweeted, “The irony of the times we live in: farmers commit suicide due to drought and people waste water to ‘play’ #Holi.Go ahead call me anti-Hindu.”
Her tweet invited many trolls and soon people outraged at her in response.

After the troll incident, Dia Mirza took to Facebook to write an open letter. The actress apologized and shared her thought to make everyone understand the critical issues. Dia Mirza clarified her entire stand in her Facebook post.
Here’s what she wrote in her Facebook post!
“Let me start by saying to all those who have taken strong offense to my tweet – “The irony of the times we live in: farmers commit suicide due to drought and people waste water to ‘play’ #Holi.Go ahead call me anti-Hindu” – that as a citizen of India, I have an equal respect for all religions, festivals and customs that are celebrated in our country. It has never been my intention to hurt the sentiments of any individual or community. If in the event that my tweet has done so, I apologize unequivocally….”
