As per a portal, when Farhan was asked if Mahira is replaced, he answers, “What can I say? We’ve completed her shooting. The film is ready for release. If we had shot the film after the recent developments we would have certainly not worked with any artist from Pakistan.”
He also spoke about all the protests happened against Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He says, “It should not have happened in the first place. Karan started the film a year ago. Is he supposed to pay a retrospective penalty?”
The MNS party is forcing Karan and Raees team to pay 5 crores from their film’s collection to the Indian Armed Forces. When asked what is his decision, he said that there’s no question of paying as the army has refused to accept it. He also adds, “How we choose to show our solidarity to our brave jawans is up to us. I don’t think anyone outside the Indian government is authorised to brief us on how to deal with our conscience.”
Raees is releasing on January 26, 2017.
