[tps_footer]Audiences as well as the industry bigwigs area all over this shy and chivalrous cutie. He shot to fame in India with hit television show ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’. He then wowed us with his effortless portrayal as royal prince in Khoobsurat opposite fashionista Sonam Kapoor. Fawad will next be seen on the silver screen in Karan Johar’s Kapoor & Sons. In a recent interview, the actor spoke for the first time about his no kissing clause.
He admitted to turning down ‘Battle Of Bittora’ opposite Sonam due to date issues and not the extensive intimate scenes as reported in the media. However, Fawad admitted that he is not comfortable kissing on screen. He believes that his audience is not yet ready for such bold and explicit content. According to him, intimacy onscreen is something that is new for the Pakistani audience. While people will watch it at home, he doubts they would watch such movies with families.
“I think it’s like s** education. So when you try to educate children about s** how do you tell them why are you doing this? So if they take their families in the cinemas now, it would be difficult for them to be explaining because they have not been exposed to this for the longest time. Obviously, they have certain constraints our censorship laws are different and sort of mould the minds of the audience.”
However, when probed further, the handsome hunk’s response was, “Not for now. I’ll do it. That is very clear, but my core audience which has brought me where I am today is not very comfortable with it.”
