MUMBAI: The first look posters of upcoming Bollywood film ‘Lootera’ directed by Vikramaditya Motwane reflect an old world charm.

The first poster only features Lootera’s lead heroine – the gorgeous Sonakshi Sinha, peeking through a half opened door. Doing what she does best, Sonakshi looks shy in a traditional Indian look holding on to a curtain with anticipation. She wears a saree with a thick gold chain, a nose pin and a red bindi.

The second poster features Ranveer Singh. The ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ star makes a complete reformation in farmer boots, beige trousers, a denim shirt, black glares and greased hair. He is seen riding an old world bike in a beautiful town of Kolkata.

Award winning filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane who debuted as a director with ‘Udaan’; And wrote the scripts for ‘Dev D’ as well as ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal’ brings to us his next. The story of ‘Lootera’ revolves around a charismatic Varun (Ranveer Singh) and the classic beauty Pakhi (Sonakshi Sinha). The two fall in love, but are forbidden to get married by their families. They eventually elope and tie the knot, but their marriage turns out to be a troubled one.

Ranveer and Sonakshi’s avatar’s justify the vintage theme of the film. The fresh pair seem to share a strong chemistry.

‘Lootera’, co-produced by Balaji Telefilms and Phantom productions, featuring Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha in an epic romance will hit the screens on July 5, 2013.
