Lots of hearts skipped a beat seeing Sonakshi flaunt an almost bare back thanks to the deep v-cut at the back of the dress. The Viange Vintage earrings and the House of Chic Ring, which Sonakshi wore to The GiMA 2014, got everyone talking.

Coming to the Awards Night itself, this year’s GiMA was dominated by Aashiqui 2. The movie bagged as many as six awards including the awards for the best film album.
Aashiqui 2 was followed by Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The movie bagged three awards – Best Music Director, Best Duet and last but not the least the awards for The Best Music Arranger for the song Badtameez Dil. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Kai Po Che managed one GiMA each.
While the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Honour – Popular, was awarded to Asha Bhosle for her outstanding contribution to the music industry, Pandit Ram Narayan, considered the finest sarangi exponent in the country and the man who made it a popular instrument was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Honour – Classical.
