MUMBAI: Spotted at the promotions of upcoming zombie-comedy zom-com film ‘Go Goa Gone’ were the film’s stars, but no Saif Ali Khan in sight!
Producer/ actor Saif Ali Khan was missing from the debut promotional spree, for his upcoming zombie flick ‘Go Goa Gone’. However, the film’s other stars more than made up for the lack of their leading man.
Vir Das, Kunal Khemu and Anand Tiwari were spotted promoting their film in the city yesterday. The trio was seen having a blast with the film’s leading lady, Pooja Gupta, who looked chic in an aquamarine mini dress. Being a zombie film, there naturally had to be zombies and dead people, which created quite a spooky ambience at the event.
Said Krishna D.K, director of the film, about why the trailers and promos have caught on with Indian audiences. “Thanks to English zombie films and television serials, zombie culture is fast evolving in India. I feel these films cater to two segments of the audience – people who know about zombies and those who don’t. We made our film on this very simple premise and we are hopeful that it will work in our favour,” said Krishna.
“We have made it in such a way that all those who know about zombies can sit back and enjoy it, while for those who have no clue about zombies, we have very quickly elucidated what they are,” he added.
