[tps_footer]Some of the Bollywood stars were urged by the Delhi government to refrain from endorsing pan masala products. Well, after not responding, this time the request has been made through letters to their wives and not directly to the stars. Delhi government has urged their wives not to participate in advertisements of pan masala as the stars did not respond to the earlier requests by the Delhi health department.

Reportedly, the letters have been sent to the wives of SRK, Ajay Devgn and Govinda after the stars did not respond the earlier request made by Delhi government.
“It is a humble appeal to you for encouraging Shah Rukh Khan not to participate in advertisements of pan masala in larger public health interest,” said a letter written to Gauri, SRK‘s wife.
“Earlier, a letter was written to Shah Rukh Khan urging him not to participate in such advertisements in public interest. Nonetheless we (Delhi government) have not received any response till date nor has he plugged doing such advertisements,” said the letter written to Gauri.

The letters even read that though the pan masalas do not contain tobacco or nicotine, they surely contain areca nuts (supari), which can lead to cancer.
Well, the similar letters were sent to Ajay Devgan’s wife Kajol, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja. Bollywood stars who are involved in endorsing pan masala products. Earlier even actress Sunny Leone was sent similar letter over endorsing pan masala products.[/tps_footer]
