Competing with several Gujarati films, producer Jayantilal Gada’s (Pen Studios) offerings, GujjuBhai – Most Wanted and Chitkar, are among the 13 films that will be screened at the International Gujarati Film Festival (IGFF), the first Gujarati film festival to be held abroad (New Jersey). The three-day festival will be held in August from 3rd to 5th , 2018 .
A source from the production house says, “This is indeed a proud moment for Pen Studios since it has just forayed into the Gujarati films and both the films backed by the banner have been selected for the coveted festival. This shows that Pen Studios has a keen eye for quality content.”
Starring Siddharth Randeria and Jimit Trivedi, GujjuBhai – Most Wanted is a comedy flick directed by Ishaan Randeria. It’s a sequel to the lauded 2015 film, Gujjubhai The Great. Meanwhile, Chitkar is based on the famous Gujarati play of the same name, which is based on a true story. The act, known for running in India and abroad for over 25 years, wowed the audience, and the film, directed and produced by Latesh Shah, was also well received.
