MUMBAI: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has finally put her comeback rumours to rest. Fans will be delighted to know that the beauty queen will be soon be seen in a film alongside her husband Abhishek Bachchan himself.
The Bachchan bahu was last seen in ‘Guzaarish’ with Hrithik Roshan. Post daughter Aaradhya Bachchan’s birth, Aishwarya Rai has been making appearances at events. But with this comeback alongside Abhishek Bachchan it is surely an icing on the cake for her fans, who are eager to see the beauty queen back on screen again!
The film ‘Happy Anniversary’ will be directed by ad-guru Prahlad Kakkar and produced by Gaurang Doshi, who earlier produced ‘Aankhen’ with Bachchan senior. It is Prahlad Kakkar who is responsible for bringing this star couple back on screen again. Quite like the moment when he gave Aishwarya Rai her first break with a soft drink commercial in her early stages as an actor.
It was speculated that Aishwarya Rai was also supposed to have an item number for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’, which eventually went to Priyanka Chopra, setting rumours that the former Miss World was retiring from the movies. But ‘Happy Anniversary’ has brought happy news for not just Abhi-Aish fans but many loving movie buffs as well.
Prahalad Kakkar says, “Happy Anniversary is about the anatomy of marriage. It traverses with the ups and downs of marriage and we will begin the shooting in South Africa in January 2014.”
The makers, Gaurang and Prahlad Kakkar are also having plans to rope in Amitabh Bachchan for a role. Will one see another ‘kajra re’ moment! Time will tell.
For now all we can say that Abhi-Aish, who have been so romantically paired in hit films like ‘Kuch Naa Kaho’, ‘Guru’, ‘Raavan’ and ‘Dhoom 2’, it will be great to see the pair in action again.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s anniversary will be long away but this ‘Happy Anniversary’ is surely put a smile on the faces of millions of fans!
