MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan, riding incredibly high post the enormous success of ‘Chennai Express’, may have an ace up his sleeve.
SRK, after collaborating with filmmaker Rohit Shetty to produce the uber successful ‘Chennai Express’, has now seemingly trained his sights on another hit director, R Balki. If all goes well, we may even see Shah Rukh in an R Balki film.
Reportedly, a couple of days back, Balki was involved in a closed-door meeting with the superstar, at his palatial sea-facing bungalow in Bandra, Mumbai. Sources say that the two were locked in intense discussions, probably aiming for a joint venture in the near future.
Reports had also suggested in March that Balki would bring together cinematic legends Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in the same film. At the time, however, Balki had dismissed the claims.
But with renewed talks between Balki and SRK, one presumes this is for the same film starring the Big B. SRK has allegedly given the green signal to Balki to plan the shooting. Neither Balki nor SRK has confirmed the news though.
Meanwhile, SRK is also gearing up to star in his friend Farah Khan’s upcoming film ‘Happy New Year’. Filming for the same will begin on 2 September, in Dubai.
