As per sources, the actor and the director will be working for Atul and Alvira Agnihotri’s next home production. As per a web portal, the actor has immense faith in Kabir as a filmmaker and after two blockbuster hits, the comfort level has only grown stronger with Tubelight. And when Atul and Alvira were looking out for a director to helm their next project, he suggested Kabir’s name. He has become like a family member to the Khans. Another director Salman has worked with that often is Sooraj Barjatya, who gave him his first hit Maine Pyaar Kiya. They also worked together in Hum Aapke Hain… Koun, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

Initially, Rajkumar Santoshi was to direct Atul and Alvira’s next production, but that did not happen. Currently, Salman and Kabir are shooting for Tubelight in Manali. The film stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu in the lead role. Tubelight will be releasing next year during Eid.
