At a recent event, the actor said that Pakistani actors should say ‘I condemn the unfortunate massacre of Indian soldiers‘. He said they need to do that as we have always shown our goodness and friendship. The actor further added that there are people from Pakistan who are wonderful and are great hosts. But when it comes to India and its jawan, he cannot be diplomatic. He said that he is biased towards his country.
Anupam also quoted that it is the responsibility of the actors who work across the border with us, to condemn the terrorists who killed our soldiers. He added that he is not saying them to condemn their country because politically it may not be the correct move. The actor said it is important to tell people “that we are thankful, we are given work in this country. But we also condemn the act of killing Indian jawans.”
He stated that in 2014 when there was a terrorist attack in a school in Peshawar, he wrote an open letter to terrorists responsible for that.
On the professional front, Anupam is a part of M S Dhoni: The Untold Story, starring Sushant Singh Rajput. He portrays Dhoni’s father in the film. It will hit the screens on September 30.
