No, it’s not a sequel to Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham starrer film ‘Dostana’, but the film that created magic in 1980 where the ‘dosts’ were played by Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha and the film revolved around friendship, love and misunderstandings, but finally a happy ending.
Sinha and Bachchan who’ve had their open differences and cold war in the past, were seen candid and pally on the screen when they were sharing same space in a new talk show hosted by Sajid Khan and Riteish Deshmukh titled ‘Yaaron Ki Baaraat’.
Being highly appreciative of Bachchan’s recent ripple-creating release Pink, Sinha also said that, “Whatever our differences in the past they’ve all been forgotten. We are now the best of friends again. And we’re getting loads of request for a movie together. I’d love to do another Dostana with him.”
It’s been common knowledge of the bitter-sweet friendship shared by Bachchan and Sinha which is also reflected in Sinha’s honest and transparent biography titled ‘Anything But Khamosh’.
Seems like nearly half a century and lots of memorable hits like Dostana, Naseeb and Shaan after, we might see them sharing the screen space. If it’s to be believed, there is already a project in the pipeline featuring these two superstars.
