Hrithik Roshan And Katrina Kaif Go ‘Bang Bang’ In Greece

The shoot for Siddharth Anand's 'Bang Bang' is on in full swing with Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif filling Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz's shoes perfectly.

MUMBAI: Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif were seen together on screen in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ but that was part of an ensemble. Their first film as a solo lead pair – Siddharth Anand’s ‘Bang Bang’ – is currently being shot in the Far East, Europe and India.

‘Bang Bang’ is an official remake of the Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer ‘Knight And Day’. The 2010 film was an action comedy film that revolved around a girl who got mixed up with a spy as he tried to clear his name. The script has been updated to an Indian setting by Sujoy Ghosh and Suresh Nair.

Currently, the third stage of shooting is on. The first stage was at Thailand where few stunt scenes were shot. The second stage was in Greece where the romantic sequences were shot. The third stage will also be in the same continent.

Siddharth Anand, who has till recently directed romantic comedies, veers into the action genre for the first time. Will he be able to do justice to the stunts that made the original English film so enjoyable? His earlier film ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’ had well-directed racing sequences. Hopefully, Siddharth Anand will carry that form onto ‘Bang Bang’.

Besides Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, the film also stars Javed Jaffrey and Danny Denzongpa. The music is by Vishal-Shekhar. ‘Bang Bang’ is set to release on 1 May, 2014.
