MUMBAI: The tireless Priyanka Chopra recently cheekily revealed that she is a lucky mascot for Amitabh Bachchan remakes.

At a promotional event for her upcoming film ‘Zanjeer’, Priyanka jested that she has gotten used to playing the heroine in films which are remakes of Amitabh Bachchan’s cult classics of the 1970’s. Says Priyanka, “I have a good track record with the remakes, so I am the lucky mascot!”

Priyanka has starred in not one, not two but three Bachchan remakes- ‘Don’ and ‘Agneepath’ being the first two.

Priyanka also said that she was hard at work trying to portray the life of Olympic-medallist boxer Mary Kom on screen. “It’s a tough role, the lady is 32 and still boxing, what achievements and hats off to her. Mary Kom is tough and I am giving it all I have.”

She also added that she had been working endlessly to get under the skin of playing a boxer, and she confessed that she hated the gym and pumping iron, but did it for the role nevertheless.
