MUMBAI: Days after Salman Khan allegedly said that he would like to beat Shah Rukh Khan’s stupendous ‘Chennai Express’ success, comes talk of his other nemesis Aamir Khan aiming for the same.

Aamir Khan’s film ‘3 Idiots’ previously held the title of the highest collecting Bollywood film ever, an achievement that was smashed once Shah Rukh’s ‘Chennai Express’ came along. Nevertheless, Aamir is confident that ‘Dhoom 3’, which releases within 2 months, will break even SRK’s ‘Chennai Express’ records.

A source revealed unambiguously: “He is confident that ‘D3’ will shatter all records, in fact he has told someone close to him, ‘3 Idiots released in 2009 and it took them four years to break that record. And the record I set with Dhoom 3, will be broken by someone in 2020.’ Aamir is not one to make statements lightly. If he says something, you better believe he will deliver.”

So confident is he of his success that he is sure that he will reclaim the title of highest collection in the very same year that his 2009 film was ousted from the top spot.

With such intense pre-release buzz, all eyes are on Aamir Khan now, to see whether he can live upto his word.
