Talented actor Irrfan Khan has been showered with the appreciation for his amazing acting in the recently release film Madaari. However, the actor has just settled down after all the acclamation and rumours have already started doing rounds about the actor signing for a project with director Ritesh Batra which reportedly was also supposed to star Kangana Ranaut.

However, Irrfan has cleared the air and dismissed the rumours calling them baseless.

Earlier, reports had started buzzing that Irrfan had teamed up with his Lunchbox director for a film based on a husband-wife relationship and its troubles after a major life changing experience.

However, when asked to comment about the firm, Irrfan said, “I am not aware of this. Maybe someone suggested that this is possible and people talked about it, and it must’ve leaked from there and got published. We haven’t had any discussion, nor any talks about it.”

Irrfan had acted with Kangana earlier in Anurag Basu’s Life In A Metro, however, they didn’t have any scenes together in the film.

Irrfan and Kangana were roped in earlier for Divine Lovers, however, the actress declined the project later due to unavailability of dates.

However, Kangana’s declination didn’t go down well with the actor who had sarcastically commented that Kangana had become too big to play his heroine and that she would rather be a hero.

When the actor was quizzed about this comment of his, he had quipped, “Yes its’s a possibility that she will be the hero and I’ll be the heroine.”
