Bollywood’s gorgeous actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who has geared up for the release of her much talked film Brothers, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar, will be seen playing the role of a young mother in the film. Bollywood actresses usually avoid playing the role of a mother onscreen.
But now, the portrayal of on-screen mother has undergone a massive change in Bollywood, and is now reduced to just cardboard characters. Similarly it happened with Jacqueline Fernandez when she was approached for the role of mother in Brothers. At first the actress was apprehensive to play the role of mother but none other that Salman Khan convinced her to play this role in Brothers.
The actress said that when the makers of the film including producer Karan Johar and director Karan Malhotra approached her she questioned them asking why they want her to be in the film to play Jenny Fernandes. At first she was apprehensive to play the role of mother, but later after Salman convinced her, she agreed to do that.
Jacqueline who is currently shooting for another film Dishoom with Varun Dhawan and John Abraham, felt that playing the role of mother means to many stereotypes attached to it and that she was little skeptical.

Jacqueline who is known to take advice from Salman Khan, said that she discussed everything with Salman Khan before getting on to decision. The Dabangg Khan convinced her to say yes as it would benefit her to boost her performance and career, and that she should not worry about the glamour and styling image.
The Kick actress so decided to go with the role of mother, as it would be credentials as an actor for her. The actress was thankful to Salman Khan and Karan for believing that she can pull off this role in a better way and that her image of glamour wont effect.
Jacqueline will portray the role of Jenny Fernandes, wife of David Fernandes played by Akshay Kumar. The actress will be playing the intense role in the film where she fights for her daughter’s illness who is suffering from kidney weakness.
The film is an official remake of the 2011 Hollywood film Warrior. It stars Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles, while Jackie Shroff will be seen in supporting role. Brothers is all set to hit screens on August 14, 2015.
