MUMBAI: The biggest icing on author Amish Tripathi’s sucess story was the fact that Bollywood’s Shehenshah Amitabh Bachchan and his lovely wife Jaya were present at his success party!
Amish, an IIM grad quit his lucrative banking job, and turned full-time author with his debut novel, ‘The Immortals of Meluha’, which has taken the nation by storm. The fabulous tale of Lord Shiva’s life and times has been firmly entrenched on the best-seller list for a while now, and Amish followed it up with two other very successful sequels: ‘The Secret of the Nagas’ and ‘The Oath of the Vayuputras’.
Buzz is that Karan Johar himself is adapting Amish’s first book ‘The Immortals of Meluha’ onto the big screen.
With so much success, it only seemed apt for Amish to host a grand success party, but what made the party all the more special was the presence of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan was clad in a sophisticated crisp black suit, while Jaya chose a rose pink sari as her ensemble for the grand party. Other guests included theatre person Anil Dharker, actor Dalip Tahil, Kabir Bedi, and many others.
