MUMBAI: It’s International Women’s Day, and how could Bollywood celebrities be far behind, in celebrating and honouring women.
Spotted at a Women’s Day event here in Mumbai were Bollywood hunks John Abraham and Vivek Oberoi, who did their bit to promote the festival which celebrates women the world over.
Bollywood’s hottest producer by far, the very sexy John Abraham was spotted in a white linen shirt and khaki pants, interacting with the top brass of Mumbai Police, including Mumbai Police Commissioner Dr. Satyapal Singh.
John was also seen mingling with politicians like BJP leader and former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje Scindia and Shaina NC.
Vasundhara Raje Scindia looked regal and elegant in a pink multi-coloured sari, while fashion designer Shaina chose a deep navy blue sari for the event.
Vivek Oberoi was mobbed by his fans while entering the venue. The proud newly-minted papa, whose last film admittedly tanked at the box office, was nevertheless seen grinning from ear to ear as he checked in at the event. Donning a purple checked shirt and jeans, Vivek was spotted signing several dozen autographs for his loyal fans.
Also spotted at the women’s day event was yesteryear actress Poonam Dhillon, in a vibrant sunshine-yellow salwar kameez. The elegant actress too took to the podium, and delivered a hard-hitting address about the need to respect women and celebrate their beauty and strength. She also spoke about women’s fundamental rights at the event.
