Journey Of Poorna Inspired Rahul Bose

Poorna is the biopic of a teenager Poorna Malavath, who hails from Telangana and is the youngest girl to climb Mt Everest.

Rahul Bose has made an inspiring and motivational film on the journey of the 13-year-old girl, Poorna Malavath, who created history by turning the world’s youngest person to scale the Mount Everest on May 25th, 2014.

As soon as Rahul came to know about the story he got goosebumps and was shocked to know the reality that a 13-year-old girl with such poor background he knew he had to show the world the struggle she went through to make our country proud and to prove that girls can do anything.

In his recent interview with Jaby Koay he mentioned how difficult it was for Poorna to complete the expedition, not just physically but mentally as well.

While Poorna was on her way to make the world record of climbing the mount Everest at such a small age she saw 6 death bodies of people on her way up. Which are actually the landmark for the Mountaineers who lost their life on their way to the top.

When asked Rahul he said, “She has the eyes of the 200 years old, She’s seen 6 people dead on her way up. The bodies are still there. They are like markers. She saw 6 dead bodies at 8000 meters plus when all you want to do is lie down and sleep, and you see these dead bodies and you know you still have 300 meters to go which is another 6 hours. She has all the infectious enthusiasm of a teenager.”
