MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar and celestial czar of the Khan triumvirate, Aamir Khan recently revealed that he is open to his son Junaid choosing any profession.
Speculations have been rife about Aamir’s young son joining the film industry. Many say he will follow in his father’s footsteps and become an actor, while others suggest Junaid has been bitten by the direction bug.
Aamir was seen last evening, inaugurating the spanking new PVR IMAX theatre in Lower Parel. Looking very handsome in a casual avatar, the chocolate boy hero of yore was seen sharing smiles all around. He even cut the ceremonial ribbon, and was all praise for the new theatre.
Also present at the event was CMD PVR Ltd Ajay Bijli and Joint Managing Director Sanjeev Kumar Bijli.
Aamir said, when asked about his son’s plans for filmdom: “It was my suggestion that he learns something about cinema and gets a new experience in life before he makes his choices. It will help him in the long run. Let him discover it and tell us what he wants to do in the future. Once he has a little understanding of the craft, let him choose.”
Aamir also said that it’s too early to say that Junaid (who is currently pursuing his graduate degree) will end up in Bollywood. “It could be acting or directing; everything is going to be his choice,” smiled the doting father.
