Kangana Ranaut has won the Best Actress for 63rd National Film Awards for her dual roles in Tanu Weds Manu. Well deserved !! And, she said that this birthday gift is the best one for her till today. Isn’t she absolutely right ?? How many people receive a National Award for their great work and especially on their birthday ??? Right now, Kangana is that person. And she is all happy and very thankful to the jury for honouring her craft of acting so well. Kangana is also happy to know that Amitabh Bachchan has won the Best Actor award for his movie Piku starring Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone. This is what Kangana said after getting the good news of winning a National Award, “It feels amazing when you are invited by the government to be there with artistes from across the country. I am looking forward to going back. And I’m so happy that I got it right after my birthday, making it all the more special.”
And here is how Kangana has planned to celebrate her victory, “I am planning to celebrate this win and I would host a small gathering for the people who rooted for me and for those who love underdog stories. I think Nani must have made something nice like Rajma Chawal, Kadhi and all of that, so we will have a mini celebration right now too.” It’s an extremely proud moment for Kangana who has now turned 29 years old and has successfully won the award under the same category as the living legend Big B has won. Earlier, Kangana had won Best Actress award for Queen as well and Best Supporting Actress for Fashion. Basically, our Queen has got the habit of bagging National Awards every year.

Other, than this, we got the reaction of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali who has bagged the Best Director National Award for making a masterpiece like Bajirao Mastani starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra. He expressed his happiness by saying that receiving this award is like his mother’s prayers getting answered because Sanjay‘s mother always wanted to see him winning a National Award and here it is, finally. Sanjay is thrilled to get such a prestigious award and extremely proud of his team to get five more awards for best supporting actress honour for Tanvi Azmi, best choreography for Remo D’Souza, best cinematography, production design and re-recordist.
Sanjay even shared his thoughts on Kangana bagging the best actress award because he feels, Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra should have won that, “Kangana is an outstanding actress but deep in my heart, I wished Deepika or Priyanka had won. Deepika’s performance was splendid and Priyanka was fantastic too,” wonder how Kangana is going to react on this.
Keep all that aside, we must say, now, this is what we call an award show organized only to encourage and appreciate talent of every age group not for trp or just an entertainment show.
Heartfelt congratulations to all the deserving winners ![/tps_footer]
