Kapil Sharma starrer Firangi falls low on first Tuesday, Sunny Leone’s ‘Tera Intezaar’ is barely earning at the Box Office.
Despite getting mixed-positive reviews, Kapil Sharma‘s second Bollywood film, ‘Firangi’ has failed to earn well at the Box Office. The pre-independence drama got a perfect release date, December 1 as no major film got released to compete. Unfortunately, ‘Firangi’ could not create the much-expected magic at the Box Office.
Firangi witnessed the poor opening of around Rs 2 crore net approx on its first day. The film further showed a slow growth and went on to collect Rs 2 crore net approx. on Saturday and Rs 2.50 crore net approx. on Sunday. The film further witnessed a drop of around 45% on Monday with Rs 1 crore net approx. on board.
Well, the film has witnessed another drop on its first Tuesday as well. Firangi, also staring Ishita Dutta, has collected Rs 85 Lakhs, taking the total five days business to Rs 8.15 crore net approx.
Firangi is Kapil Sharma’s second big screen outing after the 2015 film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. The film, directed by Rajiev Dhingra, is looking to end its first week run at Rs 10 crore net approx.
Well, it’s quite proved that content is the king and makes no difference even if its comedy king Kapil Sharma. The audience has become smart with the choices of films they want to watch. Reportedly, popular multiplexes have reduced the number of shows of his films in theatres.
On the other hand, Sunny Leone-Arbaaz Khan starrer Tera Intezaar has stayed low since day one. The film has collected Rs 20 Lakhs approx. on first Tuesday, taking the total collection to Rs 1.75 crore net approx.
