KATRINA-RANBIR: Katrina Kaif Breaks Her Silence

Katrina Kaif is a hurt and angry woman. Ever since her photographs with Ranbir made the rounds of the media, she's been tense about them. In retaliation, she's written an open letter to the media.

MUMBAI: A couple of weeks ago, Katrina Kaif’s bikini photos on a beach in Ibiza, Spain along with Ranbir Kapoor were splashed all over the internet and newspapers.

Since then we have seen Rishi Kapoor getting angry at his son for letting the photos slip to the media. So far Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor hadn’t said anything about the issue.

Now Katrina Kaif has come out against the media who published all her private photos, in an open letter written to the media. Here it is:

[colored_box color=”yellow”] I am writing this to say that I feel most upset, distressed and invaded at my pictures published in a film magazine (and which were carried by other media). The pictures were taken while I was on holiday by someone who, in an act of cowardice, has shot without permission and then used the pictures for commercial gain.

There is a breed of journalism that preys on celebrities in the worst possible manner crossing all lines of privacy and decency. Running these pictures shows support for this school of journalism.

I request that all media running these pictures please refrain from doing so. I have a wonderful relationship with the media and have been accessible to the media at all times. There is no reason for this furtive and invasive behaviour. [/colored_box]

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!

Is Katrina Kaif justified in retaliating in this manner against the media? A “celebrities right to a personal life” is a paradox in itself. Fans will always remain interested in her personal life. And she’s not alone. All stars, whether Hollywood or Bollywood, have faced similar issues and invasion of privacy.
