The much-awaited celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan commenced yesterday. The show has successfully entered in its fifth season and the opening episode of the show featured none other than KJo’s best friend Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt. The actors had a great fun at the show and the charismatic actor like always was at his wittiest when he was asked questions.
Many confessions and secrets were revealed by the actors on the show. The show kicked off with why Shah Rukh Khan did not appear on the last season of the show. King Khan funnily replied that he wanted the TRP to drop a little last year and with this season when he is back on the show, he will again take the show to the top of the TRP table.
Apart from this, KJo on the show also revealed how everyone blamed it as a scuffle between KJo and SRK due to which the latter did not attend the last season of the show. When Karan asked how he should justify that how much he loves SRK. To this Khan said, “I had to justify nationalism and you had to show me some love. Why don’t we just release the picture of us kissing and even the one where we are married.” That was a hilarious answer by SRK to the host.
During the conversation, the host Karan Johar and the guests SRK and Alia were gossiping about Alia’s boyfriends. When asked who the actress dated, the Raees star replied, “Everyone! I mean every young person that I have heard about.. for me it’s really shocking. Every person that I meet is telling me that she is dating this person and that. I would be disappointed if she had three or four boyfriends!” On the show, Alia Bhatt even cleared the air about dating Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. The actress said that she is still single and has a good equation with both the actors.
When Alia Bhatt was asked if she is attracted to SRK, she said, “Of course! Even if I was dating it is okay to be attracted especially to SRK. I always loved him. It felt surreal to share the screen with him. While shooting the kabaddi-with-the-sea scene, Gauri told me to forget that he is SRK” Even SRK is completely smitten by his Dear Zindagi co-star. King Khan even joked about Alia Bhatt on the show. When asked what would SRK do when he woke up as Alia? To this he replied, “I would read a newspaper.”
Well, Shah Rukh Khan surely knows how to make use of humor at the best. The chit-chat became more interesting when Karan asked King Khan a question. “Your daughter is 16, would you kill the person who kissed your daughter?” asked Karan. To this Shah Rukh replied, “I would rip his lips off!” Johar replied saying, “I so know that!”
That’s how a father is so possessive about his daughter. Not only this, SRK is very protective of all his children and makes sure to spend quality time with them.
Moreover, in the show KJo introduced a new slot inspired by Ellen De Genre’s show in which Shah Rukh was asked to read out a nursery poem like Arnab Goswami. The actor nailed it totally and he did not only speak like the news anchor but also added that he won’t let anyone else speak.
This was followed by the much awaited rapid-fire round. Like always SRK won the round and dedicated the hamper to his daughter Suhana.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Dear Zindagi which is slated to release on November 25, 2016.
