Rashmeet Kaur along with Su Real had come out as the winners of Amazon Prime Video India’s singing reality show, The Remix.
The digital platform Amazon Prime Video India came up with a unique concept for a singing reality show called The Remix. It paired DJs and singers to compete in the ultimate music spin-off challenge. And Rashmeet Kaur and Su Real came out be the winners of the show. It was a series of 10 episodes which started on the digital platform from March 9, this year with a new episode coming out every week.
Rashmeet had started singing very early in her life. She started at the age of 5 and has been learning music and singing since the past 6 years. The young talented girl has performed in numerous college festivals and events and has even been the winner of IIT Delhi classical competition. She was also amongst the Top 40 of the popular show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in the year 2012 and amongst the Top 10 contestants of ‘PTC Voice of Punjab’ Season 4. She has been the winner of singing competition ‘Sur Sartaj 2012’.
She has received classical training from Gandharva Mahavidyalay and has been a National Winner in a classical singing competition in 2010. Rashmeet has performed in various cities of India. And can sing and perform in different genres like Sufi, Classical, Bollywood, English and Punjabi.
In an Exclusive conversation with Pop Diaries, Rashmeet shared with us what inspired her to start singing at such a small age. The legendary Bollywood singer Lata Mangeshkar was her inspiration. She says, “My actual inspiration was Lata Mangeshkar. And I started learning Gurmat sangeet, which is the Sikh religion music.”
Along with the title of The Remix winners, Rashmeet and Su Real have also won the cash prize of INR 50 Lakhs!
