Riding on the recent success wave of the block buster Queen, Lisa Hayden has been shooting as the leading lady of Shaukeen.
The free-spirited Vijaylaxmi of Queen has caught the imagination and fancy of the nation, and Lisa has received accolades for her realistic performance. Her character in the film Queen was bold, unabashed, a positive single mother who is always ready to help, and Lisa garnered rave reviews for this.
Her latest film Shaukeen is a remake of the classic comedy of the seventies starring Ashok Kumar and Rati Agnihotri. Shaukeen was a super hit and is now being remade with Akshay Kumar as the male lead.
This is the first time that Lisa gets to play the female lead. Lisa is determined to prove her acting skills. On the first day of shoot Lisa was doused with champagne and it reacted with the glycerine in her eyes. But being a professional, she took it in her stride and took it as a part of her job as an actress.
