Little Kareena Ran To Protect Her Father From Me: Amitabh Bachchan

MUMBAI: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who keeps his fans up to date with the going ons in his life through Twitter and his personal blog, recently wrote about an incident from Kareena Kapoor’s childhood, where little Bebo thought of Amitabh as an ‘evil’ man!

Amitabh Bachchan has been busy shooting with Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Arjun Rampal for Prakash Jha’s ‘Satyagrah’ in Bhopal.

Said to be playing the role of ‘Anna Hazare’ in ‘the film, the Big B wrote about how the young Kareena, who was in Goa with her parents watched the shoot of ‘Pukar’ (1983). In the scene, Amitabh was beating up her father Randhir. Little Kareena ran upto her father troubled and clung onto him to protect him.

Writes the megastar, “How troubled she had been when during an action sequence I was hitting her Father. She in her innocence had run on to the set in the outdoors and clung to her Father to protect him from this ‘evil’ man who was beating him up…. In tears and most worried, she was relentless and very disturbed.”

“She soiled her pretty little feet in the sand and in order to settle her down I had asked for some water and washed her tiny feet clean, to make her realize that this act was not for real but an enactment. She still remembers that moment !!,” adds Amitabh.

The veteran actor had previously worked with Kareena Kapoor in Karan Johar’s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and will now share screen space with her again in Prakash Jha’s ‘Satyagraha’.
