MUMBAI: The very first edition of the South Africa India Film And Television Awards (SAIFTA) will kick-start in Durban on 6 September. With 150 artists from Bollywood and television, SAIFTA promises to be a gala affair.
With Karan Johar and Dia Mirza set to welcome the guests and host the event, the night promises to be high on glamour, wit and humour. Initially Saif Ali Khan was roped in to play the host. (Read Story HERE)
But the highlight of the evening is undoubtedly reserved for the two divas – Madhuri Dixit and Priyanka Chopra.
The graceful Madhuri Dixit and the stunning Priyanka Chopra will be performing at the award ceremony, and joining them on stage will be B-Town heartthrobs Ranveer Singh and Siddharth Malhotra amongst other television and film personalities including actor Jacqueline Ferenandez.
SAIFTA is a celebration of film and television from India and South Africa and awards will be given to stalwarts of the industry. A national and an international jury has been formed to delegate the awards. The Indian jury comprises industry biggies like Farah Khan, Boman Irani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Waheeda Rehman.
With a culmination of Bollywood and the emotional bonding with South Africa, SAIFTA promises to be a night to remember. Let it rain awards!
