MUMBAI: There’s a lot one can learn from Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala, who’s been brave even in the most trying moments of her life.
Good things come to those who believe. Recently Manisha who made her comeback with Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Bhoot Returns’, was diagnosed shockingly with ovarian cancer.
The actress had been admitted to Jaslok Hospital here Nov 28 after she fell unconscious.
Manisha remained valiant in the face of this deadly disease.
“I have had a beautiful life so far and I know, whatever will happen will all be good. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers…I am writing this as a request – please no sadness, I have told my closest friends and family too. This is part of life,” the actress had tweeted on learning about her diagnoses.
Manisha was then sent off by family and friends for the best treatment money can get to New York. Yesterday 10 December, her surgery was conducted after many tests by the doctors.
The actress tweeted in a quote of Rabindranath Tagore, which inspired her just before:
“Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers, but to be fearless in facing them. Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain, but for the heart to conquer it. – Rabindranath Tagore”
And it looks like all of Manisha’s positive thinking and her fans prayers have worked! The surgery has been successful.
Manisha’s manager confirms the news, “Manisha underwent a surgery on Monday at around 9 am. I got a message from her family members and they said it was a successful surgery. Manisha’s mother, father and her brother are by her side. One of her close friends is also there with her.”
