MUMBAI: Two years into her marriage with Nepali businessman Samrat Dahal, actress Manisha Koirala parted ways with him. Reports of trouble had begun streaming almost soon after the wedding, and efforts to reconcile also made the news. The rift had become apparent when Manisha had called him her worst enemy on a social networking site. She is said to have attended special sessions at Oneness University in Chennai to help her marriage. Now, according to her recent wall posts, the ‘turbulent marriage’ has clearly ended.
After the signs of the initial rift had become clear, Manisha’s mother had stepped in to announce that it was simply a minor tiff between husband and wife. But then Manisha had moved to Mumbai, announced at a party that she was going to get a divorce and also revealed that she had signed three movies.
The 41-year-old actress has now shifted base to Mumbai, but visits Nepal because her family lives there. Manisha has always been identified as having a free spirited nature and reportedly that was one of the reasons why her marriage was in trouble. Manisha was last seen in Dhanush – Hansika’s ‘Mappillai’. She will soon be seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s horror movie Bhoot 2.
