The singer, composer, scriptwriter, comedian and actor had a very colorful life. There are lots of incidents in his life that will make for a good watch. But even now both the proposed biopics are in limbo. Let us tell you which are these films.
Post Barfi!, people wanted to see more of Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu. It seems people had started to believe their combo will come out with something really fab like Barfi! Itself.
Soon we heard about Basu’s biopic on this legendary singer with Ranbir Kapoor playing the lead role. It wasn’t difficult for us to envision Ranbir in Kishore Kumar’s garb because in terms of histrionic, he would be bang on. But we were a bit confused about how Basu will show him as the ageing Kishore because Ranbir looks too young for that.
Too much of prosthetics is the only way out but even then, Ranbir might look out of place. While we were thinking about that, reports of the film getting postponed to derail to cancellation floated in. At present, the media reports seem divided on the possibility of a biopic of such nature which also has the patronage of Kumar’s son Amit.
Shoojit Sircar too decided to revive his long decided film on Kishore Kumar at around the same time. It seems he wanted to work on it in 2008 itself backed by UTV but something went wrong and the project got shelved. But later Shoojit denied starting the movie which was rumouredly going on the floors by the end of 2013.[/tps_footer]
