MUMBAI: Olympian boxer Mary Kom’s process of glamour-acclimatization continues at an accelerated rate. Now that a movie is being made on her life she’s becoming progressively involved with the glamour industry.
The latest is that Mary walks the ramp for Shabana Azmi’s NGO, the Mijwan Welfare Society on Monday, September 3 at the Grand Hyatt.
Mary shares the ramp with Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Imran Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Chitrangada Singh, Prateik Babbar, Amy Jackson, Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Chiraag Paswan Dia Mirza, Imtiaz Ali, Kalki Koechlin, Karan Johar, Kunal Kapoor, Malaika Arora Khan, Neha Dhupia, Rohit Roy, Rohit Shetty, Sameera Reddy, Shahana Goswami, Shahzanne Padamsee and Yuvraj Singh.
Interestingly Mary is also an amateur singer and a big fan of Lata Mangeshkar. When she met Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the first time last week she sang the title song of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam for the deeply moved and impressed filmmaker.
A meeting with her singing idol Lataji is also on the cards.
