MUMBAI: So far the focus of the discussion on the new ‘Krrish 3’ has been Hrithik Roshan’s titular hero. But now we’ve got a sneak-peek into the villains the superhero Krrish will be facing in the movie.

First up is Vivek Oberoi’s Kaal. In the ‘Krrish 3’ trailer, we saw him wear a metal suit a la Iron Man. The actor himself says that the suit he wore in the film is the most expensive one he ever wore and that it was the most expensive one in ‘Krrish 3’ too.

The buzz is that the actor shot many of his scenes in the 28 kgs suit while under the scorching sun.

The second villain of the piece is Kaaya, played by Kanagna Ranaut. While Vivek Oberoi has had experience of playing a kind-of-a-super-character before (in ‘Prince’), it was the first time for Kangana Ranaut.

In ‘Krrish 3’, the actress plays an alien-cum-mutant whose look is inspired by Mystique from the ‘X-Men’ series. “For the first time I’m playing a negative role… I have an unconventional look. I am sexy but wicked. I enjoy being called sexy,” she said.

Getting into the costume was as much as a headache for Kangna Ranaut as it was for Vivek Oberoi. She lost five kgs to get into the plastic-material costume designed by Gavin Miguel and made by Lady GaGa’s tailor. To get into the costume, Kangna had to apply a special oil while the make-up, too, took upto an hour.

The fight scenes for ‘Krrish 3’ were performed by both Vivek Oberoi and Kangna Ranaut themselves. In fact, Kanagna even underwent training, especially in martial arts.

Vivek Oberoi thanks his director for the opportunity to play the role. “I loved working with the Roshans. They are genuine, large hearted. I believe if you have a legendary director like Rakesh Roshan then you can play any character convincingly, it is his brilliance. He has created the character,” the actor playing Kaal said.

When ‘Krrish 3’ releases on 4 November, 2013, at Diwali this year, let’s hope these villains manage to scare the audience members just like Arjun Rampal’s Ra.One did so in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Ra.One’.
