MUMBAI: Boney Kapoor’s ‘Mr India’ has remained a cult film till date. The film, which is remembered for Anil Kapoor’s and Sridevi’s sensuous rain song ‘Kaate Nahin Kat Te’ is finally gearing up for its much anticipated sequel.
The bigger news is that the sequel will have Arjun Kapoor acting alongside his uncle Anil Kapoor and veteran actress Sridevi who made a comeback with Gauri Shinde’s ‘English Vinglish’.
There has been speculation over ‘Mr India’ sequel for quite sometime and the fans can now rejoice, that ‘Mr India’ sequel has finally got the green signal.
A source close to Boney Kapoor’s family says, “There’s no question of Arjun not being a part of the sequel. It won’t make sense to not have him on board.”
Anil Kapoor and Sridevi have already confirmed their presence in ‘Mr India’ sequel.
Arjun Kapoor, who is shoting for Yash Raj Film’s ‘Gunday’ is happy and says, “It’s to early to talk about ‘Mr India’. Only once we wrap up work on ‘No Entry Main Entry’ and ‘Okkadu’ remake will work on ‘Mr India’ begin”.
Arjun Kapoor’s father Boney Kapoor will produce the film. We also hear that Salman Khan has expressed his desire to play Mogambo. Now, that would be interesting to watch.
