This film was in the news a couple of days ago because of Oscar Winning sound designer, Resul Pookutty. For the first time this talented technician has given music for a Marathi film.
Confirming the news Resul said, “A Rainy Day is a film which has only sound and not music, so it was a delight for me to work on such a product. I had to device multiple layers of the sounds of rain, as it is constant in the film. This is my most challenging work till date and showcases maximum experimentation. I have spent my formative years in Pune and love the Maharashtrian culture, values and people. Director Rajendra Talak has given me an opportunity to be able to pay a tribute to Maharashtrians.”
Here’s wishing the entire team of A Rainy Day all the very best.[/tps_footer]
