[tps_footer]Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are set to have more than a last name in common, this year! The music rights of their upcoming 2014 releases, Kick and Happy New Year respectively, have been snapped up by the music megalith, T-Series.
Bhushan Kumar’s record label, T-Series, which has been the brand behind recent charbusting albums like Yaariyan, Jai Ho, Highway, Shaadi Ke Side Effects etc, will now be associated with films of the two leading Khans – Shah Rukh and Salman, and a Ranbir Kapoor film too.
T-Series has acquired the music rights of Salman’s Kick, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, Shah Rukh’s Happy New Year helmed by Farah Khan, and Ranbir’s Jagga Jasoos, which will be directed by Anurag Basu and produced under Anurag and Ranbir’s banner Picture Shuru Productions.
Sources close to the deal say that T-Series, which has promoted several films over the years, plans to extend their scope of marketing and use different avenues to promote these films.
Kick will see a July 2014 release, while Happy New Year may see a Diwali release.[/tps_footer]
